Hi, I've got a 1980 Caprice that I have done a
couple modifications to. I facelifted it as well as the
back to the 1990 model year, changed the wheel with
1996 Caprice Wheels and stuff. I really like my car.
I'm planning to install a second exhaust pipe, and
just out of interest has there ever been a Caprice
with a dual exhaust built between 1980-1990?

I live here in Hawaii. I own a 89 caprice with a
full police package and have had a very difficult time
finding any type of aftermarket dual exhaust system. You
are going to have to get one custom made bro. I
hooked up a single 3incher with a flowmaster muff and it
works just fine.

Bill,

Sorry i didn't get back to you on this.

Here is a picture that i have of the pipes from under the truck.
I also just got a Flowmaster 50 Series Delta Flow muffler on it now.
The Ravin Z33 was too loud in the cab. The 50 sries sounds much
better. It has a deeper tone to it.

I paid $530 to get it done at Midas. I found out that Meninke would
have done it for only $350. When i got it done the guy said that the
spare would not fit.
But i was able to get back under there. I also have a full size spare
in the bed.

Good job. Well at least it's done. How's it sound?

I took my air box cover off (not the filter) and mine
has a nice roar to it starting about 3000 rpm; very
impressive. Not at all "ricey", yet not like a V8.

Guys,

I updated my exhaust on my 1998 Yukon for $375.00 at Midas this weekend.
They were very quick to adjust there price down when I told them I had other quotes.

This involved the removal of old muffler and single exhaust pipe to
a Flowmaster 50 Dual In/Out with two new tail pipes and chrome tips on each side of Trailer Hitch.
I plan on doing my Colorado I5 2005 next month with same.
Nice sound, and it sure feels like I have more power.

It does have a nice deep tone. I it does not sound at all ricey. I
will get a video clip of it when i get a chance. It's also not too
loud in the cab.
