I finally purchased a Colorado! 2005, 4 door, 2WD. In my zeal to keep
it really clean, I washing it and ran my elbow into the drivers side
mirror; not much of a tap but broke the mirror. Can I change this
myself? Can anyone recommend a good shop manual for these?
This vehicle was purchased from "Cars by Marty and Dan" in Greeley,
Colorado. I live in Washington state but always got good service from
them when I live in Colorado. The truck is a 5 cyl and I averaged 24.4
MPG on the trip back to Washington state. The seem to be hard to fill
so this average is total gallons for the trip to avoid the refill
error. Needless to say,I am very pleased with this. Asside, of course
from the sore elbow!! Steve, College Place, WA

Dude that totally stink about your mirror, you must have cracked it good!  I will watch my 2005 Colorado Crew Cab mirrors too perhaps they are delicate.  Glad to hear you have joined the club.  I have tried to wave to Colorado owners as I drive down the road but havent' gotten much reply.  I think its because their enjoying the ride so much that they don't see it LOL!   I have very much enjoyed my mileage with my truck too I drive about 30% city and about 70% expressway and am getting about 22 mpg. I have though put on a performance muffler and a K&N air filter and a tonneau cover and am using synthetic Mobil 1.

I may need to look at my filter, but I still think it probably is my tires, I still have the factory ones on and they are getting to the point of no return.  Basically, I think the K&N helped out with more pep and better mileage.  Sorry to hear you used gasoline to clean it ouch.. I hope it didnt' cost you much.
