2002 malibu,3100 v6, a/c, auto, cruise,p/w p/l. Likes to honk when using door locks and windows, but not all the time. Thought it may be part of a symptom of some recall for the dash electronics. Anyone else have similar problems? Or cures? Thank you, Jeff

I have the theft light problem too. Sucks when trying to get to work. Seems like it happens after a rain, but doesn't happen often enough to totally blame moisture.

I do have trouble starting the car, it requires a push on the gas pedal, i thought this was not neccesary due to the electronic controls.Love the car otherwise. Was wondering about uprgrading the current cd/radio player to something i saw in an impala, with outboard amps under the rear deck.I check out ebay alot, junkyards are hit or miss for that sort of junk. Thank you.

The wiring in the dashboard is rubbing on the metal causing open wiring. thus the ghost horn. I had to replace both horns, and have the horn completly rewired to restore the normal function of the horn. S. WIlliams mine is a 1998, so its not unique to the 2001.
